Note: At a prevent of the 2004-05 year, Luton Town & Hull City automatically gained promotion to the Championship while Sheffield Wednesday won promotion via the playoffs. Torquay United, Wrexham, Peterborough United, & Stockport County were relegated to Football League Two.
